Nature Foundation were recently in the news through our involvement with Australian National University's (ANU) research into Regent Parrots.
Our Murbpook Nature Reserve on the River Murray features River Red Gums which are the preferred nesting habitat for Regent Parrots (Polytelis anthopeplus).

Threatened fauna ecologist Melissa Burford, from Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board, is part of the regional regent parrot recovery team.
She said the partnership between a number of groups was an amazing opportunity to make a difference for the parrot.
"It's a great partnership project, there's the recovery team, which are a really active community-based team," she said.
"We're also working with Mid-Murray landcare and the Nature Foundation, the Department of Environment as well as obviously the [Landscape Board] and the ANU's difficult-bird group."
"We're hoping to get some excellent data that can really guide management decisions in the future for this bird."
