Thank you to all of the members and volunteers who took part in our Watchalunga Planting Day on Sunday 30 July, National Tree Day!
With just over 30 volunteers, we planted an incredible 2,300 native plants, including lignum and sedge seedlings, creating vital habitat for the Mount Lofty Ranges Southern Emu-wren, a nationally and state endangered species.
Many thanks to Sarah and the team from the Goolwa to Wellington Local Action Planning Association (GWLAP) for their preparation and support. We know Watchalunga Nature Reserve is in safe hands with such passionate conservation partners!
Many thanks to Nature Foundation member and planting day volunteer, Bill Doyle, for taking some great photos from the day. You can browse the album photos on Facebook here.
