Six Nature Drives are available at Witchelina Nature Reserve, taking in the magnificent scenery of the reserve, some points of geological and historical interest, and – if you're lucky – some wildlife.
The Nature Drives are designed as self-drive experiences for visitors with suitable vehicles.  All the tracks are marked with colour-coded arrows to assist navigation, and trip notes and points of interest guide are provided.

Old Mt Nor’West Gorge Nature Drive Loops

Visitors can experience the stunning Willouran Ranges by driving one of three Old Mt Nor’West Gorge Nature Drive Loops, accessible from the Witchelina Homestead, Farina Station, or Marree.

The Old Mt NW Gorge Loops circumnavigate all or part of the magnificent sandstone and quartzite tiers of 20 Mile Hill.  For much of the route, the red sandy buttresses of rock create a formidable set of barrier ranges.  However, the ranges are scythed through by a narrow, straight creek gorge, named after the former homestead which nestles in one of its downstream bends as the Willawalpa Creek breaks through into more open country.  After carefully negotiating the track through the gorge, visitors on this drive have an opportunity to explore the former homestead precinct, with a number of historic buildings.
